When the 3 CONT land was purchased in 1837 Muncy Township, Lycoming County 3 CONT bordered Turbot Township. However, in 1843 Delaware Township 3 CONT and Lewis Township were formed from the northern part of Turbot 3 CONT Township and their northern borders then became the border with 3 CONT Muncy Township, Lycoming County. Peter Knepply 3 CONT was an early settler and land owner in Upper Saucon Township. 3 CONT Some of Peter Knepply's children were baptized at St. Paul's 3 CONT Lutheran and Reformed Congregation in Upper Saucon Township. 3 CONT Peter Knepply died in Upper Saucon Township about 1795 and left 3 CONT a family of 5 boys and 2 girls. At the time of his death he 3 CONT owned 3 tracts of land totaling 127 acres in Upper Saucon 3 CONT Township and an 18 acre tract in Salisbury Township. About June of 1865 while at 3 CONT Hoskinsville, Kentucky he became quite will with stomach 3 CONT problems. He tried to march with his unit to Clarksville, 3 CONT Tennessee but was unable to do so because of his weakened 3 CONT condition and had to be transported to Clarksville. After 3 CONT Clarksville he and his unit went to Louisville, Kentucky and he 3 CONT continued to have health problems. He was discharged on 4 3 CONT September 1865 in Indianapolis.
